MUMBAI, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Prince Feisal Al Hussein was re-elected for a second four-year term on the International Olympic Committee Executive Board here on Monday, while Kirsty Coventry of Zimbabwe returns to the IOC EB for a four-year term after Nawal El-Moutawakel stepped down.

Prince Feisal was originally elected to the Executive Board in 2019. Coventry previously served on the Executive Board from 2018 to 2021 in her capacity as Chairperson of the IOC Athletes' Commission.

El-Moutawakel's term came to an end after having served on the Executive Board since January 1, 2020, when she replaced Willi Kaltschmitt Lujan who had reached the age limit on December 31, 2019.

Meanwhile, seven IOC members who are coming to the end of their eight-year term have been re-elected for another eight years, with the age limit being taken into consideration for the end of their terms.

They are El Moutawakel, Prince of Monaco Albert II, HRH the Grand Duke of Luxembourg, Valeriy Borzov, Gunilla Lindberg, Syed Shahid Ali and Nenad Lalovic.
