GAZA -- At least 13 hostages captured by Hamas were killed in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza in the past 24 hours, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said Friday.
"Foreigners and Israelis were killed during the intense Israeli attacks in northern Gaza and inside Gaza City during the past 24 hours," it said in a press statement.
Six were killed in the northern Gaza Strip, while seven were killed in separate places in Gaza City, according to the statement. (Palestine-Israel-Airstrikes)

PARIS -- A teacher was killed and several other people injured in a knife attack on Friday morning at a high school in the northern French city of Arras, reported local media.

PUL-E-Khumri, Afghanistan -- Seven persons have been confirmed dead and 17 others were injured as a blast ripped through a mosque in the capital of north Afghanistan's Baghlan province on Friday, provincial director for Information and Culture Asadullah Mustafa Hashimi said.
"Seven people were killed and 17 others injured in the blast," the private television channel Tolonews quoted Hashimi as saying in its report.
The blast took place when worshipers were inside the mosque in Pul-e-Khumri city to offer their Juma (Friday) congregation. (Afghanistan-Blast-Casualties) ■
