Some Western officials and media outlets have been talking about the imminent collapse of China since its reform and opening-up, said Victor Gao, vice president of the Center for China and Globalization.
"China has not collapsed. China has been steadily developingy... It's not good if anyone wants to see the collapse of China or even to instigate or promote the collapse of China," Gao said.
