GAZA, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The death toll and injuries from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have risen to 560 and over 2,900, respectively, according to an update issued by the Palestinian Health Ministry on Monday.
The Gaza-based ministry said children and women were among the Palestinian deaths, while some injured people were in critical condition.
Mohammed Abu Musabeh, a spokesperson for the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza, accused the Israeli forces of launching indiscriminate attacks on first responders and barring them from reaching the injured people in some areas.
The spokesperson told Xinhua that six medical workers have been killed and ten others wounded in Israeli strikes targetting multiple ambulances since Saturday, claiming that the attacks did not differentiate emergency crew wearing a clear insignia from others. ■
