FAIZABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan authorities inaugurated a health clinic in north Afghanistan's Badakhshan province recently, Abdul Jamil Saes, the provincial deputy governor, said on Monday.
Constructed at a cost of 350,000 U.S. dollars with 81 percent funded by China and the remaining by Aga Khan Foundation, in Pamir Kord area of Wakhan district, the health clinic provides health services to people in Wakhan and its vicinity, the official said.
The Afghan caretaker government has also started work for building a road in Wakhan to connect the provincial capital Faizabad onward to neighboring China and Tajikistan. ■
