FAIZABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Police have destroyed 110 acres of hashish in north Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, said a statement of the Ministry for Interior Affairs on Monday.
According to the statement, the counter-narcotics police have recently cleared 110 acres of hashish farmland in the provincial capital Faizabad city and different areas of Badakhshan province.
The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to fight against illicit crops including poppy and hashish, drug processing, and drug trafficking until the country gets rid of the drug menace. ■
