TEHRAN, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Tuesday called for unity among the Islamic community in West Asia and North Africa to prevent U.S. "plunder, bullying and interference" in the region.
He said the United States is dealing political and economic blows to regional countries, stealing Syria's oil, and interfering in their internal affairs, according to the leader's website.
However, he added, if all countries in the Islamic world, especially those in the region, unite with each other and adopt a united policy toward the fundamental and general issues, the bullying powers do not dare and cannot interfere in their domestic affairs and foreign policy.
"As we have stressed repeatedly, we do not encourage anybody to launch a war or take military action. Thus, the call for standing together and being united is aimed at preventing U.S. warmongering," he noted. ■
