CAIRO, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, falls on Friday.
People in Egypt, Jordan, Israel and several countries in the Middle East taste mooncakes and celebrate the festival, which has a long-standing custom to admire the full moon and pray for a happy reunion.
