MADRID, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid's teenage forward Arda Guler suffered another injury setback on Tuesday when he was on the verge of getting his first call-up into the first-team squad.
The 18-year-old was diagnosed with an "injury to the left rectus femoris muscle" that he suffered in the closing minutes of Tuesday's preparation session ahead of Wednesday's La Liga game at home to Las Palmas.
Gular has still not been able to make his Real Madrid debut since signing from Fenerbahce during the summer. He suffered a knee injury in the club's pre-season tour of the United States in July and had only just recovered fitness ahead of Tuesday's setback. ■
