KABUL, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Police have destroyed more than 300 acres of hashish in east Afghanistan's Paktia province, said a statement of the Ministry for Interior Affairs on Thursday.
The counter-narcotics police have recently cleared 325 acres of hashish in Aryub district, the statement said, adding that the war on illicit crops and illegal drugs would continue until the country is free of drug menace.
The Afghan caretaker government has vowed to fight against illicit crops, including poppy and hashish, drug processing, and drug trafficking. ■
