BISHKEK, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Unique petroglyphs from Saka times have been discovered in the Naryn region, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan said Tuesday.
Historical findings were discovered in the Naryn State Nature Reserve during an expedition by employees of the reserve.
"This is the Saka animal style. Traces of animals are visible in the photographs," Oroz Soltobaev, associate professor at the Institute of History of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, commented on the findings.
He added that the petroglyphs date back to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th centuries BC. ■
