At its extended 45th session in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee examined the site nominated by China and added it to the list as a cultural property, making it China's 57th World Heritage site. This photo shows the image of Andromeda as seen through the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) Mozi. A wide-field telescope capable of surveying the entire sky from the Northern Hemisphere was put into operation in northwest China's Qinghai Province on Sunday. Measuring 2.5 meters in diameter, the WFST is now the largest time-domain survey facility in the Northern Hemisphere. The telescope was nicknamed after the ancient Chinese philosopher Mozi, or Micius, who is said to be the first in history to conduct optical experiments.
