ISLAMABAD, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- One soldier and three terrorists were killed in a check post attack in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, an army statement said on Friday.
The terrorists targeted the security forces check post in Wali Tangi area of Quetta, the Pakistani military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The attack triggered an intense exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces deployed at the check post in which one soldier was killed and another seriously injured, the statement said.
On Monday, one soldier was killed and three others injured in an improvised explosive device blast in the country's northwest Peshawar city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to the Pakistani military. ■
