LA PAZ, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed after multiple cargo vehicles collided with one another Monday night in the central Bolivian city of Cochabamba, said Marcelo Gomez, the deputy director of local transit.
The crash, involving three trailers and a truck, is believed to have been caused by one of the high-tonnage vehicles invading another lane for reasons that are still under investigation, said Gomez.
All the four drivers were killed, with three found dead at the scene and the fourth on the way to a private clinic, he said.
The bodies were taken to perform an autopsy to determine whether any of the drivers was driving under the influence. ■
