Dong Haobo, 36, is an ice hockey coach in Tangshan, north China's Hebei Province. At the age of 23, his life changed forever when he saw an ice hockey game for the first time, and became hooked on the sport.
After that, Dong, a college graduate with a degree in mechanical design and manufacturing, became a professional athlete and participated in the National Ice Hockey Championships.
He acted as a technical official for the ice hockey competitions at the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, and is now a coach rooted in the grassroots and focusing on ice hockey youth training.
