JERUSALEM, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- The annual dragon boat race was held in the thousand-year-old northern Israeli port city of Akko on Friday, with hundreds of paddlers from 17 teams nationwide competing in the Mediterranean Sea.
The race, jointly sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Israel and the municipality, was staged simultaneously with a series of other Chinese cultural events.
