SINGAPORE, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1.31 million visitors arrived in Singapore in August, the second-largest figure this year, according to the latest statistic released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The Chinese mainland maintained the top visitor source to Singapore, followed by Indonesia, Malaysia, India, and Australia. Nearly 214,500 tourists from the Chinese mainland arrived in the city-state last month.
By the end of August, Singapore had received over 9 million visitors in total this year, according to the STB. ■
