ASUNCION, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Argentine striker German Cano scored twice as Brazil's Fluminense advanced to the Copa Libertadores semifinals with a 3-1 away win over Paraguayan side Olimpia on Thursday.
John Kennedy put the visitors ahead by running onto Keno's through ball and firing home in the 24th minute.
The hosts equalized just before halftime through Facundo Zabala, who finished coolly after combining with Ivan Torres.
Cano broke the deadlock with a close-range effort in the 80th minute and he put the result beyond doubt with a stoppage time strike following Vinicius Lima's defense-splitting pass.
The result gave Fluminense a 5-1 win on aggregate, setting up an all Brazilian semifinal against Internacional. Argentine giants Boca Juniors and Brazil's Palmeiras will contest the other semifinal. ■
