BEIJING, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 271 km SSE of Amahai, Indonesia at 0434 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 220.8 km, was initially determined to be at 5.55 degrees south latitude and 129.98 degrees east longitude. ■
