JINAN, China, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The 2023 World Triathlon Cup was held in Weihai, east China's Shandong Province, attracting 1,855 athletes from 31 countries and regions to participate.
Crisanto Grajales of Mexico and Italy's Bianca Seregni emerged winners in the men's and women's elite categories in 1:46:35 and 1:58:42 respectively.
As a ranking point event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and an international A-level event, the 2023 World Triathlon Cup in Weihai saw professional athletes completing a course covering a 1.5km swim, a 40km cycle and a 10km run.
The Super Triathlon Series will take place on Sunday and feature 42 competition groups, with 1,764 athletes from 13 countries and regions expected to compete. ■
