CAIRO, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Tens of thousands of people depend on fishing as their main source of income in the Damietta governorate of northern Egypt.
The governorate is where the Nile River meets the Mediterranean Sea, and it is also well-known for its abundant fishing resources and sizable fishing fleet.
Seafood is an important part of the Egyptian diet and a major source of animal protein for Egyptians.
