YANGON, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Farmers have been busy transplanting seedlings in paddy fields on the outskirts of Yangon, Myanmar, with high hopes for this year's monsoon harvest.
Motivated by a significant increase in profits from last year's harvest, Myanmar rice farmers began to prepare for growing paddy in rain-fed fields in July.
