BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 48 km ESE of Palu, Indonesia at 1009 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 1.08 degrees south latitude and 120.27 degrees east longitude. ■
