BEIJING, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- Chengdu Rongcheng's striker Felipe Silva has been banned for three games after physically assaulting a Zhejiang FC player in a Chinese Super League game last Saturday.
In addition to the ban, he was fined 30,000 yuan (about $4,178), the Chinese Football Association said in a statement on Friday.
The Brazilian forward was dismissed after he struck the Zhejiang FC player with his head and shoulder in the 59th minute of last Saturday's encounter.
The Chengdu side lost the game 2-1 at home. ■
