ANKARA, Aug. 1 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-5.0 earthquake shook Türkiye's central province of Konya on Tuesday, the country's disaster agency said.
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 6:08 p.m. local time (1508 GMT) at a depth of 7.24 km, was located at the Selcuklu district, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said.
The earthquake was felt in the city center and the districts of Konya. TV footage showed citizens leaving their homes in panic.
The Konya Provincial Governor's office said no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
The earthquake in Konya came almost six months after the February twin earthquakes that killed more than 50,000 people in Türkiye and Syria. ■
