DUBAI, July 31 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Monday strongly condemned the "terrorist attack" in the northwest of Pakistan that resulted in the deaths of more than 50 people.
In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry, the UAE expressed its "strong condemnation of the criminal acts and its permanent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability in contravention of human values and principles."
The ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the Pakistani government and people and to the families and relatives of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
On Sunday, a suicide bomber exploded his jacket at a political gathering of supporters of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl political party in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing at least 54. ■
