CHENGDU, July 30 (Xinhua) -- South Korea grabbed two out of three gold medals on the second competition day of the Chengdu Universiade here on Sunday.
The South Koreans triumphed in the men's and women's team poomsae, while China captured a gold medal in mixed pair poomsae.
Liu Siyue, member of China's title winning team, said: "It is my first time standing on the world stage, and the cheers from the audience in Chengdu have made us more powerful."
The taekwondo competition, which attracted about 450 athletes from 57 countries and regions, will continue until August 4. ■
