BEIJING, July 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 jolted South Sandwich Islands region at 08:43:59 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 53.2 km, was initially determined to be at 55.94 degrees south latitude and 27.37 degrees west longitude. ■
