RIO DE JANEIRO, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Vasco da Gama have signed Paraguay international forward Sebastian Ferreira on loan from Houston Dynamo, the Brazilian Serie A club said on Thursday.
The 25-year-old, who is contracted to the Major League Soccer club until the end of 2025, will be tied to Vasco until December.
"I'm now in Rio and thankful for all of the support from fans. I'll be giving my all of the club," Ferreira said in a short video posted by Vasco on social media.
Ferreira, who has been capped five times for Paraguay's national team, has made 45 appearances for Houston and scored 14 goals since joining the club from Libertad in January last year.
Vasco are currently last in the 20-team Brazilian Serie A standings with two wins from 15 games so far this campaign. ■
