SINGAPORE -- The Chinese government will resume the 15-day visa-free policy for Singaporean citizens from Wednesday, according to a statement by the Chinese Embassy in Singapore Sunday.

The policy will allow Singaporean citizens holding ordinary passports to enter China for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes, the statement said.

Visas which have been issued to Singaporean citizens are still valid, and visa applications that have been lodged will be processed normally, according to the statement. (Singapore-China-Visa)

DHAKA -- The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) reflects China's commitment to fostering global cooperation and mutual development, a Bangladeshi expert has said.

PHNOM PENH -- The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) of Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen claimed a landslide victory in Sunday's general election, a party spokesman said.

Though official results had yet to be announced, CPP spokesman Sok Eysan confirmed the results on Sunday evening, saying that this marked another great success for the CPP.

"We have won a landslide victory in this election, but we have not yet calculated the number of seats we have gained," he told Xinhua. "This truly reflects people's confidence in the CPP's leadership." (Cambodia-General election)

HONG KONG -- John Lee, chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), on Sunday began a visit to ASEAN member countries of Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, seeking more cooperation and support for Hong Kong's membership of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
