QUITO, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero has vowed to bring success to LDU Quito after completing his move to the Ecuadorian club on a free transfer.
The 39-year-old was officially presented to the media on Friday after agreeing to a contract that runs until December 31.
"We want to be champions again and I'd like to leave my mark on the club," Guerrero told reporters.
"I'll be working as hard as I can with my new teammates to win titles for our fans. That's what I want most."
Guerrero, Peru's all-time leading scorer with 38 goals in 107 international appearances, has been troubled by knee problems in recent years.
The former Bayern Munich forward left Argentina's Racing Club by mutual consent earlier this month.
He registered just three goals and two assists in 22 games across all competitions for the Buenos Aires club. ■
