PHNOM PENH, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Guinea-Bissau's Prime Minister Nuno Gomes Nabiam will pay a working visit to Cambodia on Friday, the Cambodian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Nabiam will pay a courtesy call to Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen during his visit, the statement said.
"The meeting will provide an opportunity for both leaders to discuss various bilateral topics, chart a course of action for advancing mutually beneficial cooperation, and exchange their perspectives on regional and international issues of shared interest and concern," it said.
During his four-day stay in Cambodia, Nabiam will have the opportunity to witness the Southeast Asian country's general election first-hand, scheduled for Sunday, and exchange electoral experiences, the statement said.
The West African country's prime minister is also scheduled to meet with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng.
Nabiam's visit will mark a significant milestone in the amicable relations between both countries and contribute to strengthening the bonds of good friendship and cooperation in the interests of the two peoples, the statement said. ■
