RIO DE JANEIRO, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Pedro and Bruno Henrique scored second-half goals as Flamengo came from behind to beat Athletico Paranaense 2-1 in their Copa do Brasil quarterfinal first leg on Wednesday.
Agustin Canobbio put the visitors ahead at the Maracana stadium with a sixth minute strike before Pedro equalized by converting a 55th-minute penalty.
Henrique gave the hosts the lead when he headed home at the far post after Giorgian de Arrascaeta's delivery from a set piece.
The return fixture will be played at Arena da Baixada in the southern city of Curitiba next Wednesday.
In other Copa do Brasil quarterfinal first leg fixtures on Wednesday, Sao Paulo secured a 1-0 home win over Palmeiras and America Mineiro won 1-0 at home to Corinthians. ■
