RIO DE JANEIRO, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Barcelona are poised to sign highly rated teenager Vitor Roque from Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense, according to media reports in the South American country.
The 18-year-old agreed to personal terms of a six-year contract that will take effect in January, news outlet Globo Esporte reported.
It added that the Spanish club agreed to a 35 million-euro transfer fee and established a one billion-euro buyout clause in his new contract.
Roque has scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 29 games across all competitions for Paranaense this season.
He earned his first Brazil cap when he was introduced as a second-half substitute during a 2-1 defeat to Morocco in March.
Forward Raphinha is currently the only Brazilian in Barcelona's first-team squad. ■
