RIZHAO, June 29, 2023 (Xinhua) -- The Rizhao Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone has successfully activated new growth drivers by placing emphasis on high-end technology and innovation. By adopting measures such as enhancing the business environment, attracting new investments, and fostering the influx of high-end talent, it has effectively established an industrial development system featuring key sectors that include the new-generation information technology, health industry, high-end equipment manufacturing, and modern service industry.
Currently, the development zone boasts 59 specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating at or above the provincial level. Additionally, it is home to 12 provincial gazelle companies and 146 state-level high-tech enterprises. The period between January and May of this year witnessed a 5.7 percent year-on-year increase in the added value of the Rizhao Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone above designated size, which demonstrates a steadily upward trajectory in economic development.
