ISLAMABAD, June 28 (Xinhua) -- At least nine people were killed and two others injured on Wednesday when armed men attacked a house in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, paramilitary troops in the province levies reported.
The levies said the incident took place early morning in the Bagardara area of the Malakand District when a few men entered a house and opened indiscriminate firing, resulting in the casualties of all people from the same family.
The attack took place due to a family dispute, levies said, adding that three suspects have been arrested.
Soon after the incidents, the levies and the rescue workers reached the site and shifted the victims to a local hospital, said the levies.
Reportedly, the deceased included four women, three men and two children.
Further investigations are underway, according to the levies. ■
