BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Amor Mottley will pay an official visit to China from June 24 to 27, and attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, in Tianjin.
Mia Amor Mottley, 58, served successively as minister of education, youth affairs and culture, attorney-general of Barbados and minister of home affairs, as well as deputy prime minister and minister of economic affairs and development from 1994 to 2008.
She was sworn in as Barbados's prime minister in May 2018, and was re-elected in January 2022. ■
