BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- The 19th national congress of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) concluded on Thursday in Beijing.
The 19th CYLC Central Committee, consisting of 170 members and 129 alternate members, was elected at the congress.
It passed a resolution on the report of the 18th CYLC Central Committee and a resolution on the revision of the CYLC Constitution.
It was noted at the congress that the CYLC should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and fully implement the guiding principles established at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
The CYLC congress stressed that the league must focus on the fundamental task of nurturing capable young people who will join and carry on the socialist cause. It should facilitate the growth and development of young people, and consolidate and expand the patriotic united front among the nation's youth. ■
