Chongqing, June 22 (Xinhua) -- As the Dragon Boat Festival holiday is coming, a special train carrying more than 300 passengers slowly left Zunyi Railway Station, heading for Chongqing West Railway Station on Tuesday. Different from the previous "slow train", passengers can not only enjoy the scenery along the way but also experience various Dragon Boat Festival folk customs during their journey.
A "market carriage" is set on the train, where villagers living along the route sell their own agricultural products such as reed leaves, wormwood, calamus, glutinous rice and vegetables to passengers. After visiting the "market", visitors can watch various performances and make Zongzi (traditional sticky rice dumplings) and wormwood sachets in the "customs experiencing carriage" to experience traditional culture and folk customs.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 22 to 24, the 5630\5629 trains commute between Zunyi and Chongqing will continue to serve as a special festive train for passengers to get access to traditional folk customs.
