KHOST, Afghanistan, June 20 (Xinhua) -- A total of 50 Afghan youths were commissioned to the country's police force after completing a two-month training course in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province on Tuesday, a teacher of the Police Training Center in the province Mohammadi Khan said.

During their training, the participants had learned how to use weapons, treat people, and discharge the responsibility to ensure law and order, the official added.

"Professionalism and treating people politely during duty are essential for a policeman to ensure law and order," newly graduated cadet Khalil Khan said.

The Afghan caretaker government, according to its Interior Ministry's spokesman Abdul Nafi Takor, has formed a 200,000-member police force to ensure law and order in the war-torn country.
