KUNMING, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province recently nabbed three drug trafficking suspects and seized over 226 kg of methamphetamine, according to the border police of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture.
The border police said that a suspicious package was found during an inspection in May. The package caused suspicion due to a vague delivery address and abnormal weight.
The inspection showed that a large quantity of drugs were hidden in the package, which was delivered to the address under police observation.
On May 27, three men took the package from a logistics distribution center in Baoshan City and tried to drive to Kunming, capital of Yunnan. A task force then arrested the suspects at the entrance of an expressway and confiscated 226.7 kg of methamphetamine in the package.
Investigation of the case is underway. ■
