BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts," the latest sequel in the Transformers franchise, continued to top the Chinese daily box office chart on its sixth day of screening on Wednesday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
The sci-fi action franchise generated a revenue of around 16.41 million yuan (about 2.3 million U.S. dollars) on Wednesday.
American animation "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" came in second, raking in 5.84 million yuan.
It was followed by domestic road comedy "Godspeed," which pocketed about 4.71 million yuan Wednesday. The film tells the bittersweet story of a family of four accidentally embarking on a truck journey full of laughter and tears. ■
