LAHORE, Pakistan, June 6 (Xinhua) -- People worked hard to combat plastic waste and pollution in Pakistan's Lahore to mark the World Environment Day, although plastic products are flooding their daily life.
Pakistan is one of the top 10 countries in the world for plastic pollution with an estimated 70 percent of plastic waste being improperly disposed of.
The government is working with its people to tackle the problem in creative ways, such as trying to improve sanitation services across Pakistan through healthy competition among the cities and citizens.
