KABUL, June 2 (Xinhua) -- Farmers harvest cucumbers in a field in Jawzjan province, an important agricultural province in northern Afghanistan. The local government supports farmers to invest in the agricultural sector and create job opportunities for local people.
Apricot harvest season also comes to Afghanistan's Balkh province. Apricot is one of the country's most important perennial crops. According to local officials, the apricot yield has increased this year.
