TEHRAN, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Tuesday that with the decline of unilateralism, the future of the world and region will be shaped by regional states and organizations.
Raisi made the remarks in a meeting with Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay in Tehran, according to a statement published on the website of the Iranian president's office.
He highlighted the necessity of maintaining sustainable communications and contacts among the CICA members, noting that the trend reflected by global developments is indicative of a movement toward the promotion of multilateralism in the world.
Raisi voiced Iran's readiness to share its experiences with the CICA member states in the fields of science, technology, economic development and the fight against terrorism and organized crimes.
Sarybay, for his part, thanked Iran for its "active" participation in hosting the forum's events, especially in the fields of fighting terrorism and promoting economic development.
He also praised Iran for its advances in different areas, including science and technology, while calling on Tehran to share its experiences in these fields with the CICA members.
The CICA is an intergovernmental forum aimed at enhancing cooperation in promoting peace, security and stability in Asia and around the world. It is also the largest intergovernmental forum with 28 member countries in Asia. ■
