BHAKTAPUR, Nepal, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Basked in the soft glow of early morning, monks in orange robes and locals quietly walk to offer prayers on the premises of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square located in Bhaktapur, Nepal.
Bhaktapur is a small city about 13 km from Nepal's capital city of Kathmandu. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a former royal palace complex, which once housed the Malla kings of Nepal and the kings of the old Bhaktapur kingdom.
The Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which features ancient architectures including temples, arts and culture of Nepal, was listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1979.
