SONITPUR, India, May 29 (Xinhua) -- Comes summer, comes litchi. Farmers in Sonitpur district of India's northeastern Assam state welcomed the bountiful litchi season with joy.
The round-shaped tropical fruit, hanging in sprawling branches, is not only a summer sweetheart for many, but also a main source of income for locals.
