BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhua) -- At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin will pay an official visit to China on May 23-24.

Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin was born in Moscow on March 3, 1966.

In 1989, he graduated from the Moscow Machine Tool Institute (now the Moscow State University of Technology "STANKIN"), with a qualification in system engineering.

He completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in 2003.

Mishustin received a Doctor of Science in Economics from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation in 2010.

From 1992 to 1998, he held various positions at the non-profit organization International Computer Club.

He served as deputy head of the State Tax Service of Russia from 1998 to 1999.

He was Deputy Minister for Taxes and Levies of the Russian Federation from 1999 to 2004.

From 2004 to 2006, he worked as head of the Federal Agency for Real Estate Cadastre.

He was head of the Federal Agency for the Management of Special Economic Zones from 2007 to 2008.

He was president of the UFG Group (OFG Invest) from 2008 to 2010.

He served as head of the Federal Taxation Service of the Russian Federation from 2010 to 2020.

Mishustin was appointed as prime minister of the Russian Federation on Jan. 16, 2020.

He was awarded the Order of Honor in 2012 and the Order For Service to the Fatherland, 4th class, in 2015.

Mishustin is married, with three sons.
