The Bohai Rim (Cangzhou) -- The Gulf Cooperation Forum (BRGCF) kicked off on Saturday in Cangzhou, north China's Hebei Province.

The forum has yielded fruitful results. Through the preliminary negotiation, 56 projects have been agreed, with a total investment of 35.5 billion yuan. At the opening ceremony alone, 12 major projects were signed, covering the fields of equipment manufacturing, logistics, new energy, etc.

At the forum, "Circle of Sister Ports Plan" was also officially launched, which aims at improving the influence and competitiveness of Huanghua Port, a vital port for Cangzhou and Xiong'an New Area to export goods.

Shen Jiangying, President of Xinhuanet, said that the port would follow the example of top-level ports, optimize its layout and enlarge the circle of friends to achieve transformation and industrial upgrading. It would boost the port economy from coastal to inland areas, and build the development pattern of land-sea coordination.

A round table dialogue session was held during the opening ceremony. Centered on the topic of "Opportunities and Challenges for the Development of the Bohai Rim Region", leaders of Cangzhou, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Panjin and Jinzhou cities carried out an in-depth discussion from three different dimensions, including current situation, opportunities and challenges.

The forum was jointly organized by Cangzhou Municipal People's Government and Xinhuanet.
