NINGDE, May 11 (Xinhua) -- China-made new energy vehicles (NEVs) were shipped to Israel for the first time from Ningde port of east China's Fujian Province on Tuesday.
Among the total of 725 NEVs, 700 are made by Chinese automaker SAIC Motor and the other 25 are pure electric buses, made by Chinese bus maker King Long.
The trip also marks the opening of the port's first direct sea route to the Middle East.
